Gents and Full Hearts: World Cup 2012

It’s that time of year again. Spring break left many of you in a sleep-deprived stupor that only rest and Sbisa cookies can heal. You’ve already done battle with the temperamental Texas weather and emerged triumphant, albeit soaked to the bone. So you’re feeling good about yourself. If you can wade through the shin-deep wetlands of campus then what can’t you do? You’re ready to take on the world. We have the answer.

On March 31st, Gents and Full Hearts will be hosting the World Cup Soccer Tournament, with all proceeds going directly to Casa Hogar.

The Rundown: The tournament will be a battle royale of sorts. A test of wits and brawn. Definitely not for the faint of heart. Medieval weapons and armor are not only allowed, but encouraged. (Neither Full Hearts nor Gents accept responsibility for bodily injury resulting from participation).

But seriously, the tournament is meant to be first and foremost a fun way to get some exercise, have a great time playing soccer and raise money for a great cause. The tournament will be made up of co-ed teams of 8, with a $15 entry fee. For those of you scoffing, keep in mind that a shirt and food are included. You can sign up you and your team here. We hope to see you and your best bicycle kick at Penberthy fields on the 31st!
